Julien Thijs alias 'Rocking Moustache', memorabele rockzanger uit Aarschot is overleden. Hij had eind jaren 70, begin jaren 80 enkele hits in de BRT Top 30 zoals 'The cradle of love'. Ook al werd het succes stilaan minder, 'Moustache' bleef tot op het einde van zijn leven optreden. Behalve zanger-entertainer, was hij ook dancinguitbater in Heist-op-den-Berg, deejay, platenverkoper en marktkramer. Julien Thijs werd 79 jaar.
